Qld: Roma house fire suspicious, say police
Police say investigations are underway into the cause of a fire which destroyed a housein the western Queensland town of Roma overnight.
Roma Police Constable JODI BLACK says firefighters and police were called to the blazein Roslyn Drive at Timbury Hills about 2.20am (AEST).
Constable BLACK says the timber Queenslander on five acres was totally destroyed by the blaze.
She says residents of the rental property weren't at home at the time of the blaze.
She says initial investigations indicate the fire may have been deliberately lit.
