BODY COUNTS DON'T COUNT.(Main)

In nearly four weeks of war, the U.S. military command here has not reported killing a single Iraqi soldier.

Perhaps hundreds, if not thousands, of Iraqi troops have died as a result of round-the-clock airstrikes, which have cratered the desert landscape where a million Iraqi soldiers are hiding from the assault.

In the only significant land battle so far, just 32 Iraqi soldiers were reported to have been killed in the brief fight for the border town of Khafji, a toll that was disclosed by the Saudis but never confirmed by the Americans.
